Virginia Helen Pucko, née Badaczewski, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026, in Warren, Michigan, at the age of 101. Born on April 10, 1925, in Hamtramck, Michigan, Helen graced this world with a warmth and vibrancy that left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Virginia was a woman who truly embodied a zest for life. Her beautiful smile and genuine love for people were her signature traits, always illuminating any room she entered. Known affectionately as "Helen with the hat," she delighted friends and family alike with her vast and colorful collection of hats, a reflection of her joyful spirit and unique style. Her passion for travel brought joy and adventure into her life, allowing her to create countless memories that she treasured deeply.
Those who knew Virginia will always remember her for her readiness to help others—a kindness that never wavered. She was surrounded by the love of her devoted daughter Patricia, her supportive son-in-law Charles, and numerous nieces and nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
Virginia’s life was shared with her beloved husband, Bruno, to whom she was married for 68 wonderful years. Though Bruno has passed on, their enduring love story remains a testament to the enduring bonds of family and commitment.
The family will hold a visitation on May 29, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wysocki & Wilk Funeral Home, located at 29440 Ryan Rd, Warren, Michigan. A Rosary will also be recited there that evening at 7:00 PM. The celebration of Helen’s life will continue with a Funeral Mass on May 30 at St. Faustina Catholic Church, 14025 Twelve Mile Road, Warren, Michigan. The gathering there will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place at on a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan, where Virginia will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Bruno.
Virginia Helen Pucko’s radiant smile and generous heart touched many lives. Though she has departed from this world, her spirit lingers in the stories shared and the love she freely gave. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
