Teodocia Quendangan

Teodocia Quendangan, lovingly known as Docia, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 22, 2026, at the age of 103.

Docia will be remembered as a loving, understanding, hardworking, and kind woman who was also feisty at times and a true disciplinarian. She treated people with kindness and was very considerate in the way she cared for others. Her life was marked by steady devotion to her family and by a deep generosity of spirit that reached beyond her home. She worked hard to give her children the best education possible, and among her proudest accomplishments were managing her own homestead and sending her children to school.

She found joy in simple and meaningful pursuits. Gardening was one of her pleasures, and she also loved to play mahjong and blackjack. She loved to feed those in need, offering care and hospitality in ways that reflected her warm and giving heart. She also donated her time taking care of her grandchildren, sharing with them her strength, her attention, and the enduring love of a devoted matriarch.

Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished. She is survived by her children, Teddy Solmayor, Precie Bongat, Virgilio Solmayor, Cornelia Sanada, and Victoria Rufin. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren to carry her memory forward. Through them, her example of perseverance, generosity, and care will continue to be carried forward and remembered with gratitude and love.

She was preceded in death by her husband Melchor Quendangan, her daughters, Gliceria Angeles and Felipa Cuntapay and all her siblings. They remain forever a part of her story and of the love that surrounded her family across generations.

Family and friends are invited to gather for Visitation on Monday, September 28, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wysocki & Wilk Funeral Home, 29440 Ryan Rd, Warren, MI 48092. A Rosary will be held there at 6:00 p.m. On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, she will lay In-state at 9:30 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church (St. Mary Our Lady Queen of Families), 25320 Van Dyke Avenue, Center Line, MI 48015, followed by the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m.

Docia’s long life was a blessing to those who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, her dedication to her children and grandchildren, and the loving care she so freely gave to others. May her memory bring comfort and remain a lasting source of inspiration to her family and all who were touched by her life.
