Susan Zmijewski, affectionately known as Sue or Suzy, was born on August 21, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan. She left us all too soon on February 16, 2026, in Warren, Michigan, peacefully at home, surrounded by the warmth of her memories and the love she so generously shared throughout her life.

For over 40 years, Susan dedicated her career to Chrysler Corporation as an Administrative Assistant in the Engineering Departments. She was a valued and well-respected employee, known for her incredible ability to keep her departments running smoothly, always meeting the expectations of her supervisors with grace and competence.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Susan was a formidable presence in the lives of those who were fortunate to know her. With a heart full of kindness and generosity, she greeted everyone with a smile and was always ready to lend a helping hand or share her insightful advice. Her personality shone brightly, and spending time with Suzy was a joy cherished by many.

Susan was a lifelong learner and a voracious reader, never seen without a book or magazine near at hand. Christmas held a special place in her heart; she delighted in decorating her home for the holiday and had a knack for finding the perfect new decoration in stores. The holiday season was a time of happiness for her, celebrating with loved ones and infusing her home with warmth.

Traveling was a passion that brought her immense joy. Together with her dear lifelong friend, Lori Longairc, Susan made countless memories on yearly Christmas shopping trips to Chicago, delightful cruises, and visits to different cities for family weddings and other special occasions. These outings were not just about the destinations but the cherished moments shared with friends and family.

Susan’s commitment to her family was unwavering. She eagerly participated in the significant events of her cousins’ lives, celebrating births, graduations, showers, weddings, and other milestones with enthusiasm and love.

She is survived by her beloved friend Lori and many cousins, whose lives she touched profoundly. Susan's heart radiated love and kindness, and while she will be deeply missed by her family and friends, the beautiful legacy of her generosity and sweet spirit will forever remain in their hearts.

Susan Zmijewski, we were fortunate to have you in our lives for so long, but we always wished for more time together. Your kind and generous soul has enriched our lives, and we will forever hold onto the rich tapestry of memories you created with us. May you now find peace, surrounded by the love of your parents, Hank and Adeline, and the many cousins who have gone before you.
