Marie (Martinez) Smith

Marie Smith, age 80, passed away November 13, 2023.

Marie was the beloved wife of the late Lowell Raymond "Ray" Smith; loving mother of Lara "Nicki", Michelle, and Matt; and devoted grandmother of 8. She is also survived by 4 of her siblings and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Marie was a very good hearted and kind person. She had a great sense of humor and loved making others happy and laugh. She was feisty and strong willed as well. Growing up a coalminer's daughter, raised in one of their camps a lot of her formative years, was a very hard life. She never let those circumstances get her down, and she was determined to have a good and happy life despite it all. Above all, she loved her family. She loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother.

Visitation Thursday, November 16, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Wysocki & Wilk Funeral Home, 29440 Ryan Road, Warren, Michigan. Visitation will continue Friday, November 17, from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Service held at the funeral home.
