Joseph "Joe" Jansen passed away on June 21, 2026, at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens, Michigan, just one day before his 69th birthday.

Born on June 22, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan, Joe was a proud Army veteran, a dedicated worker, and above all a deeply loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was the kind of man who worked hard every day and gave of himself without hesitation. Joe had the biggest heart and was known for being giving, respectful, and truly kind to everyone he met. If someone needed help, he was always there.

Joe found joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life. He loved fishing, riding motorcycles, rebuilding and fixing cars, and practicing karate. Some of the memories his family will always treasure are of Joe making breakfast in the mornings, spending time with the people he loved, and always making sure his grandkids had a few dollars in their pockets to buy something special. He was an awesome grandpa who loved his grandbabies dearly and made time for everyone.

Of all the things Joe accomplished in his life, nothing made him prouder than his children and grandchildren. He took great pride in watching his family grow up and in seeing the lives they built and the families they raised. That pride, along with his love and steady presence, will remain a lasting part of all who knew him.

Joe is survived by his children, Christy (Christopher), Jeff, Joe (Jessica), Adam (Jennifer), Andrea (Kevin), and Rachel; his grandchildren, Daniel, Hannah, Izzy, Sammi, Jordan, Emma, Caleb, Rylee, Casey, Fred, Emily, Matthew and Victoria; his brother, Bill (Pam); and his sisters, Ann and Kathy (Ron).

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rose Jansen; his brothers, Jack and Pat (Katie); and his grandchild, Deena.

A visitation and Mass will be held for those who wish to pay their respects to Joe and his family. Visitation will start on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Wysocki & Wilk Funeral Home, 29440 Ryan Road, Warren, MI 48092.
