Cleo Allen Holmes, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on June 21, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on April 14, 1947, Cleo was a dedicated worker who spent 33 years at Chrysler, contributing to the community and industry with a commitment that was admirable. His time at Chrysler was not just a career; it was a testament to his strong work ethic and determination.
Cleo's educational journey began at Fitzgerald High School, where he laid the foundation for a life filled with accomplishments and character. His proudest achievements extended beyond his professional life, as he was deeply devoted to helping others and his faith in God. He was a Deacon at his church and ran the church food pantry, tirelessly serving the community and aiding the homeless with compassion and generosity.
In his spare time, Cleo found joy in fishing and racing cars, pursuits that brought him immense happiness and allowed him to connect with nature and his passion for speed. These interests painted a picture of a vibrant man who cherished every moment.
Cleo is survived by his beloved daughter Roxanne (John) Anderson; his son Mark Dikowski; and his cherished grandchildren, Noah Anderson and Zoe Anderson. He also leaves behind his siblings: Gene Zuber, Danny Zuber, Leo Holmes, and Tim Holmes, all of whom shared countless memories filled with laughter and love.
He is preceded in death by his father Walter Holmes, his mother Ruby Holmes, and his siblings Roy Henderson, Maxine Zuber, Floyd Zuber, and Martha Holmes. They welcomed him with open arms, ready to embrace him once again.
Cleo Holmes will be remembered not only for his hard work and sacrifices but also for the love he shared with his family and friends. His legacy will live on through the lives he touched, and the memories created over the years. His spirit, with its warmth and kindness, will forever remain a guiding light for those who had the privilege to know him.
A Visitation for Cleo will be held on June 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Woodside Bible Church located at 27300 Hoover Rd, Warren. The Funeral Service for Cleo will be held on the same day at 11:00 AM at Woodside Bible Church as well.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Cleo's memory to the Michigan Humane Society.
